I feel so comfortable to doodle with all the crap/recycled/cheap paper lying ard me but when i use a more expensive sketchbook or paper, i hesitate & the things i draw turns out much worse & stiff, LOL! The important thing is that you should feel comfortable with the material you are using. If you are not worried about paper and color being wasted it is ok.But that is not always the case. Edger Whitney the well-known watercolorist of USA always used student quality color and produced outstanding work. What material you use is not important but what you produce is.You shuld feel free with the material If you are always using the costly material without any botheration it is Ok.Vijay Kakdehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03710888713840573407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6343495613166030080.post-38831099565561837052010-07-10T10:37:02.275-07:002010-07-10T10:37:02.275-07:00Thank you for sharing this sir! I want to use better materials so that my customers are satisfied that they are getting the worth for what they are paying and also that my work lasts for a long time! However, as you said, if the work itself is not good, there is no meaning in buying expensive materials.I'm still trying different papers. Recently I purchased Bockingford paper (300 gsm).Yet to try it! Till now I was using Fabriano paper.<br />RegardsRamesh Jhawarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01130292431742198195noreply@blogger.com
